Low Libido Symptoms
You may be experiencing different low libido symptoms
Possible symptoms include:
Perimenopause and menopause can cause a woman to experience
vaginal dryness to the point where intercourse becomes painful
making it an experience she dreads. The vagina and vulva are
actually tightening and thinning besides becoming dry.
Low libido symptoms from perimenopause and menopause include
mood swings, hot flashes, fatigue and possible weight gain. All
of these occur due to hormonal changes in the body. With mood
swings, one moment you may be feeling happy go lucky and the
next minute you may become enraged. When experiencing a hot
flash you may very suddenly become so hot that you start to
sweat—a lot. Then once the overheated feeling goes away, the
sweat may make you feel cold and clammy. When feeling fatigued
you may feel like you overextend yourself with too many
projects or daily activities. By the time your day is done, you
most likely just want to lay your head on your pillow and go to
sleep.
You may be experiencing depression which causes you to lose
interest in just about everything you once enjoyed including
sex and intimacy.
Fatigue is a low libido symptom. When one is extremely
overtired, it is hard for the body to seek out pleasure when
the survival trait emerges ahead of the pleasure factor.
Problems in your relationship with your spouse or
significant other can cause low libido symptoms. If you are
angry, hurt, upset, etc., with your partner it is difficult to
get “in the mood” with him or her. Open communication with your
loved one is imperative to feel desire towards him or her.
You may naturally have a low libido. There is nothing wrong
with you. Some people have a high libido and some people have a
low libido as each person is unique. Hopefully you are with a
spouse or significant other that has close to the same libido
as you do as this will help make things smoother in your
relationship.
Stress can cause you to have some of the above low libido
symptoms. Feeling very overwhelmed and/or worried can cause a
damper in your libido. With less stress in your life you can
calmly focus on you and your health.
Summary
There are many low libido symptoms that you can seek help with
your doctor to lessen or dissolve the symptoms. You do not have
to continue to live with your low libido symptoms.
