Low Libido Problems in Women
Low libido issues in women are rather common. A number of
females experience low libido problems and yet, it is hard to
find synthetic medication to cure low libido for females. Among
cures for low libido issues are changing eating habits and
using herbs. Changing life-style and sometimes even your love
partner might help, as well.
Causes of Low Libido Woman
There are several physical causes of low libido in females.
They include general disorders (for example diabetes), low
testosterone levels, low nitric oxide levels, post-baby
coolness, anemia, alcoholism and drug abuse.
Low testosterone levels is considered to be a problem of
males, however, it can be a major issue in female low libido,
as well.
Low nitric oxide levels can also create problems of low
libido. This is the chemical that makes blood to flow into the
genitals when a person becomes sexually exited.
Post-baby coolness (PBC): is the term used for loss of
libido that is very common after childbirth. It is most likely
connected to the intense hormone changes happening because of
childbirth. This is very essential, since “the nature” is
trying to protect the woman and the newborn – there is no
reason to have a higher libido in this period from the
standpoint of “the nature” and childbirth. It is essential from
that standpoint that woman is focused on the newborn baby,
rather than doing something that can create a new one. The
ordeal of childbirth itself also matters. After birth, women
can be just too exhausted and worn out to want sex. The
solution here is to be patient and give some time to pass,
while maintaining healthy life-style and self-image.
Anemia is rather common in females, because of loss of iron
during periods, pregnancy and childbirth.
Although you have to consider physical causes when thinking
about curing low libido in women, psychological causes are
usually the key when it comes to women. Psychological causes
include depression, stress, fatigue and anxiety. There are also
such causes as low self-esteem and self-image, wrong choice of
a sexual partner and not knowing your own desires.
The choice of cure for low libido should start with general
healthy life-style and figuring out the main cause of low
libido problem. If you are thing of taking medication, you
should first adjust your lifestyle. You are what you eat; so,
start with a good diet to give you energy, first. This might
mean eating plenty of raw foods, vegetables, fruit, and so
on.
Some exercise three or four times a week is also a
necessity, since it lifts mood and energy levels. This might
seem hard at first, but eventually you might feel the
difference and would not even want to think about going back to
your old lifestyle. You do not need to become a gymnast, to
have a super slim and toned body – all you need is some
movement and energy.
When the cause of the problem is found, you can proceed
accordingly, depending on the cause of the problem, whether
physical or psychological.
