Low Libido Woman and Causes
There are many factors that may be causing you or a friend
to become a low libido woman. Low libido or a low sexual desire
can be caused by:
Perimenopause or menopause: Your body is going through so
many changes at this time which include hot flashes, fatigue,
mood swings and even gaining weight. With the above symptoms,
add that you most likely have more stress in your life at this
time. Stress can come from your children growing up into
teenagers, your parents getting older and may be failing in
health, relationship issues with your significant other or
spouse on top of working at a job.
Thinning, tightening, and dryness does occur in the vulva
and vagina during per menopause. Once this happens sex can
become painful to the low libido woman.
Physical Factors: You may have recently started on a new
prescription medication that could be causing you to become a
low libido woman. If this is the case, make a follow up
appointment with your physician. You may still have a low
libido from a medication that you have been taking for awhile
and now the side effect is causing concern to you.
A hormone change in your body could be causing you to become
a woman with low libido also.
Psychological and Emotional Factors: There are a few
psychological and emotional factors that may be causing you to
become a low libido woman. Areas that can cause low sexual
desire are depression or you may have anxiety about sex, a poor
self-image, fatigue and problems with your relationship with
your spouse or significant other.
Naturally a Low Libido: Perhaps you have always had a low
libido. Everyone is different and as you go through the stages
of your life, you may continue to have a low libido. You may
speak to your doctor about your past history and he or she can
help to determine what to follow up with.
Summary
You do not have to live the rest of your life as a low libido
woman. As mentioned above, women go through different stages in
their lives. You may have had a high libido in your twenties
and thirties, a low libido in your forties and fifties and gain
back a high libido in your sixties. Seek help so you are
diagnosed and can begin the proper treatment for a low
libido.
